Now reporting from the last day on the "homefront", Dad: Mom reports in from "Nowhere's ville, NV". Of course, like everything else out here, the internet is slow! They are only 6-8 hours away from Sacramento. So, the race will be on to the hotel check-in desk! I know they went to the Golden Spike National Park today. They want to get to Sacramento also, but this stretch of the drive is a long one.
As for me, I'm trying not to forget anything. I will probably leave the house around 8. I called my Dad and asked him for a wake up call. He's the best because he will NOT forget to call! I've flown only about 3 times in my life and this "checking in" online was a little stressful. I DID NOT want to click the wrong button! So, it took me about a 1/2 hour for that. Today I cut the grass, checked the locks, stopped the mail. Tomorrow I'll check my pockets several times, scan the house over, and over again. I know she must need a driver and I get to see them soon! This is pretty cool. This could be a once in a lifetime type trip. See the lovely U.S. and see how others live.
PS It looks like Monday night in San Fran we may have to drive for a hotel...it's 49ers vs Saints on Monday Night Football(yes of course I thought of attending it, but the price was too steep for me!). I love my wife and she did a great job of planning the trip..........but did it have to be during football season?!? I guess I'll have to miss my Skins. Who knows, with today's technology, It might be on a TV as I wait to get a Big Mac!
